Moriah Baptist Chapel was built in 1892 in the Romanesque style with a gable entry plan, stone walls and round-headed windows. The foundations for the vestry were laid in 1882 and 58 members of Calfaira, Clydach (NPRN 10121) and three members of Seion, Morriston (NPRN 9020) were released to incorporate Moriah in 1888. The congregation grew rapidly and a new chapel was then built in 1892.
