DescriptionWatford Independent Chapel was built in 1739, modified in 1842 and the interior remodelled in 1877 to the design of architect Thomas Thomas of Landore. Watford was then rebuilt/extended in 1890, in the Simple Round-Headed style, with two storeys, a gable entry plan and gallery. The chapel was renovated in 1938 and again in 1962. Watford is now Grade 2 Listed as a late nineteenth century chapel of special interest because of it's association with the Reverend David Williams and the early history of non-conformity in South Wales. By 2002 the congrgation were Caerphilly Evangelicals.
