DescriptionThe sites observed in the scheduled area comprise one ring cairn of three concentric ring banks (Nprn306588), two round cairns (one of which has been fashioned into a sheep fold - pos. NPRN 306587, the other being NPRN 306589), a few small cairns and several sinuous stony banks or rickles. The overall impression is of a ritual and agricultural landscape though the two are not necessarily contemporary. The entire area (as delimited in the scheduling document) measures some 600m (NW-SE) by 450m. Its E limit may be taken as the quarry which is prominently located at a change of slope.
