Description
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic church, Porthcawl was built in 1969, using designs by F.R. Bates, Son and Price. Stained glass windows above the doors into the main body of the church depict fish and a fisherman casting a net from a boat. Two large mosiacs flank the front entrance depicting Christ with dove of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin with standing Christ-child with arms outstretched. All designed by the architect with the mosaic work carried out by a local artist, Rossini.
