This is the original chapel of St Beuno's College, a Jesuit seminary opened in 1849 and now a spirituality centre. It consists of a nave, sanctuary and side chapel. The main roof is supported on hammer-beams with angels at their bases. The sanctuary has a fan vaulted roof.
From 1866 the Rock Chapel (NPRN 12453), at the far end of the seminary grounds, provided an alternative place of worship. The old college library has now been converted as an additional chapel.
