Autumn Colours

It’s that time of the year – children back to school, nights drawing in and leaves turning red, orange and shades of brown. Because they were all taken in the months of September or October, these photographs add an autumnal glow to the Royal Commission’s aerial recording of scheduled monuments and known archaeological sites, and to the ground surveys of upland landscapes which highlight the vast treasure trove of archaeology and heritage to be found in some of the most beautiful and remote parts of Wales.
