Capel Newyd IndependentChapel was built in 1814 and rebuilt in 1873 to the design of architect Reverend C. Jones. The chapel was restored in 1959. The present building, dated 1873, was built in the Simple Round-Headed style of the gable entry type. A prominent feature of this Chapel is the large arch in the facade.
