    Gorphwysfa Methodist Chapel was built in 1843 by architect E. Harris, and then rebuilt in 1893 by architect B. Williams of Swansea and builder R.Llewelyn of Llansamlet. This latr chapel is built in the Classical style of the gable entry type.
