Disgrifiad
A linear trial pit that runs north-east/south-west with an adit dug into the hillside to the south-west. Timber prop shoring is still present within the adit. The pit measures 1.50m wide by 1.30m deep and 8m long. A sub-ovoid spoil heap of quartz and debris has formed out from the mouth of the cutting. The heap measures 15m in diameter and 5m high and it continues as a linear spoil heap that is 5m high and 30 m long. A small delving trial pit lies immediately above the main trial mine and it appears to have been used to follow the mineral seam. It is shown on both the current OS mapping and the RCAHMW Aerial Photographic Interpretation.
