Surviving embankment of the uncompleted northern section of the Manchester and Milford Railway (nprn 91660) line east of the village of Llangurig. Construction of the line stretched southwest from Penpontbren Junction (nprn 301485) to a point about 1km to the west of Llangurig Station (nprn 404402) at SN 8994 8017. Money ran out and the line was not opened for regular traffic; the track was lifted and the route abandoned in the late nineteenth century.
