Archive relating to excavations and investigations carried out by John Ellis Jones at Tomen Castell, Dolwyddelan, between 1961 and 1964. Comprises photographs, plans, notes, sketches, correspondence and articles, including: 'Tomen Castell, Dolwyddelan, Gwynedd, north Wales: excavations at an early castle site' published in Archaeology in Wales 54 (2015) with unpublished versions. Also includes reconstruction drawings of Tomen Castell and Castell Carndochan created by Paul R Davis in 2019.
