Description
Sarn Baptist Chapel was built in1827 and then modified during the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The chapel is built in the Simple Gothic style with a gable entry plan. It is a red-brick building but parts, including the main gable end are almost entirely covered by hung slates. The notable and elaborate gothic porch with a fancy bargeboard, pointed doorway and Y-traceried fanlight is probably late nineteenth century. On the gable is a plaque that reads "Sarn/ Chapel/1827". A hall was attached to the left hand side of the chapel in 1938 and the surrounding graveyard is enclosed by a brick wall.
