Description
Siloh (2) Methodist Chapel was built in 1874 and replaced Shiloh (1) (NPRN: 306917) which was built on adjacent site in 1847. Shiloh (1) was sold in 1875 and subsequently became 1 and 2 Shiloh Cottages. Shiloh (2) was brick built in the Simple Gothic style with a gable entry plan. The chapel had a projecting porch with angle buttresses, black and red lozenge-tile floor and two stone steps to the chapel. It also had 4-bay side walls with angle buttress at each end and metal plinth ventilators. The rear projection was narrower. The red brick plinth survives with a vitreous brick drip but this chapel was just a ruin in 2002.
