Description
The remains of the house and courtyard at Bodowen lie 1 3/4 miles south of the church. The portion of one wall of the house, which shows some evidence of reconstruction, is contained in the wall of an irregular four sided courtyard adjoining on the north-western side. The main entrance to the courtyard is through a sixteenth century gateway. The adjoining house has moulded jambs and a flattened four centered arch with a moulded label. There is also a doorway in the south-east wall. The north-western and north-eastern walls are terraced and are of seventeenth century date.
