Description
Village House, Colwinston, is probably an early 17th century cottage which was improved in c.1700. The house is built of local rubblestone walls with plastered and painted cladding and has a gabled thatched roof with gable-end stacks. It is T-shaped with a 2 unit front wing, the rear kitchen wing and stair turret were probably added about 1700. The 19th century cottage fenestration was replaced in a full refurbishment of 1997-8.
