DescriptionBuilt in 1932 as a cinema - the Princess Picture House
Plain painted brick building with a rendered facade. 2 storeyed with 3 bays. Glass canopy on cast iron columns with ornamental brackets.
Original Art Deco interior survives almost intact.
A good example of a small picture house which although simply planned, exploits a distinctive architectural vocabulary in its main facade, and which retains contemporary interior of some quality. (2003.07.29 KAA)
