DescriptionOakfield House is an earlier c.1820 small country house. It is U-plan with Regency 2-storey brick elevations under a modern tiled roof with wide eaves and brick chimney stacks. There is a 3-window SW front with an emphasised entrance bay, very slightly off centre, with a broad arched doorway, and a 5-window NW front with a central bow and lower windows reaching almost to ground level. There are brick outbuildings. The interior retains contemporary detailing, including a curved and cantilevered stone staircase, Regency fireplaces, and a beaded cornice to the drawing room.
