Description
The Roman Esgair Perfedd Marching Camp is located on the eastern slopes of an east to west mountain spur where the ground falls away on all sides except the west. It measures 270m by 235m and is defined by a turf covered rampart 0.4m high and between 2 and 3m wide. Its entrances are protected by internal claviculae facing north, south and east. There is also a small enclosure, 10m square, on the eastern side (NH 1980).

Further Roman marching camps are known 6.5km to the east-north-east at St Harmons (Nprn304958), and 10km to the east-south-east at Nantmel (Nprn157545).
