Description
Formerly known as New Quay, following the transferal of trade from Chester, and situated on the River Dee, Connah's Quay had a direct rail link to the coat mines and potteries at Buckley, and so the town developed and expanded.

Flintshire Bridge (Connah's Quay road bridge) which opened in 1998 (NPRN: 268138) and the Corus steelworks (NPRN: 300212) are located to the north of Connah's Quay, together with Connah's Quay power station (NPRN: 300210).

To the south of Connah's Quay lies Ewloe castle (NPRN: 94447), built by Llwelyn ap Gruffudd.
