Description
The Mount is a three storey Georgian brick house built in 1753. It faces north along Church Street and lies behind a railed forecourt. The house has a partial basement and a slate roof, and the facade has three bays with a central hooded doorway. New windows were inserted in the early nineteenth century. At one time it served as a boy's school. The large mound in the garden is believed to be the motte known as Castell y Waun (NPRN 307013).
