DescriptionKerb cairn, comprising a ring of some twenty boulders, approximately 9.6m in diameter, set into a cairn, c.13.5m in diameter. A ring cairn (NPRN 400457) is located approximately 1m to its south-east.
Excavations in 1971-2 revealed the northerly circle to consist of a ring of boulders surrounding a level stone built platform. Beneath which was a layer containing Beaker sherds, charcoal and flints; suggesting an occupation site replaced by a ritual sepulchral monument (there was no evidence of burial). The southern structure (NPRN 400457) was found to be a small ring cairn, with four concentric circles of large boulders.
