Description
The stables at Nanteos are an earlier nineteenth century coachhouse and stable court associated with Nanteos mansion (NPRN 278). The various ranges are set about three sides of a cobbled yard. Facing one another from the north and south sides are matching two storey four bay coachouses rising to hipped slate roofs. The remaining ranges are single storey stables, originally accommodating a total of twenty four steeds.

A screen wall was later thrown across the open east end of the yard. This has a central triumphal arch and the gable ends of the stables have been pressed into service as pavilions or blind temples.
