Description
Connah's Quay is a natural gas-fired combined cycle gas turbine power station. It was commissioned in 1996 and produces 1430 MW of electricity, the gas being supplied to the site through the Point of Ayr Gas Terminal (nprn 300272) in a 27km long, 24in diameter main.The station has four single-shaft units, each comprising a gas turbine, a heat recovery steam generator, a steam turbine and a generator.
