Description
The Bulwark, Llanmadoc Hill is an irregular oval enclosure, c.92m by 120m, defined by a bank & ditch, with a counterscarp on the S, occupies the eastermost summit of Llanmadoc Down. There are comlex additional, discontinuous lines of bank & ditch to the E & W.
Within the main enclosure is a subrectangular enclosure, 48m by 26m, set against the rampart on the SE, also a possible circular structure adjoining. A 12m wide entrance approach leads through the subsidiary lines of ramparts, from the entrance on the E.
