Description
1. A C17th timber-framed corn barn of 3 1/2 bays, some replacement stone walling.
GAW/RFS, visited 28/06/1994.

2. A three-and-a-half bay barn of timber box-framed construction, dating from the early 17th century. The wall-framing had full length studs which were cut short when a new cill-plate and plinth were inserted in the 19th century. At this time the end walls, the W wall and parts of the E wall were replaced in stone. All the roof trusses have two vertical studs between tie-beam and collar with raking struts over the collar at the ends. There are two pairs of trenched-purlins and a ridge with the lower purlin wind-braced upwards to each truss.
