Description
1. An earthwork of a Roman fortlet surviving to a height of 0.2m, 85m square, with rounded corners, occupying a site midway between the Llandovery and Caerau forts. It would once have provided extensive views, but to the north-west these are now obscured by the surrounding forestry plantation. The forestry also covers part of the earthwork so the only evidence for an entrance is on the south-eastern side although an entrance in the centre of each side is expected.

J.Wiles, RCAHMW, 4 April 2002

2. Documented during RCAHMW aerial reconnaissance. Air photos show an undated group of denuded earthworks some 180m south of the fortlet at SN 8511 4131.
