Upper stone of a "bee-hive" quern discovered near Hope Rectory in 1915. Diameter at base is 13ins and depth 51/2". Now kept in Hope Church. The stone is described by J.H. White in 1960 thus, "it has a single groove decoration around the lip of the funnel and appears to be a fairly late example"
