Description
Built in 1839, its was used to lift iron and raw materials between the furnace tops and the yard. T-shaped plan with tapered top. Stone construction with dressed stone to quions and openings. Three vertical openings running through the centre, with the lower opening forming an archway for the trams. The remains of the iron hoist also survive.
