Description
Possible garden features south of Tretower Castle (NPRN 306010), possibly associated with Tretower Court (NPRN 16305).
Three linear features running generally north-south outline an area, about 88m east-west by 64m. The eastern and central features may be water channels springing south from the leat passing south of the castle mound (NPRN 309427). However, these might be drainage features.
To the south are indications of a curvilinear pond, or pool, possibly a relict river meander, fishpond, or ornamental feature.
If this was a garden area it may have involved the castle moat and counterscarp.
