1. A former Tannery, shown as disused on the O.S.1/2500 First Edition (1886). Houses now occupy the footprints of some of the former structures but a large barn-like building, a detached house and coach house probably date from the tannery era.

2. The tannery was supplied with water in a leat from the Berthyn Brook, which also supplied the corn mill (nprn 40057) to the east.
