Part of Llanaeron Home Farm (nprn 406938). A pit was sunk in 1849 and the first wheel installed in 1852. The present overshot wheel dates from 1906 and was made at the Eagle Foundry, Aberystwyth. Associated machinery and hoists, driven from the wheel by underground shafting, are located in the outbuildings and the granary (nprn 31509). The wheel supplied electricity used in the house, through a battery house established in the north west wing of the stable court yard (nprn 31507).
