Description
An early to mid nineteenth century cowshed range, one of a group of farmbuildings to the south of the Plas-y-Wern mansion (NPRN 35388). The range burnt in 1987 and was restored as a dwelling in about 1990.
This was a long low single storey range with whitened stone rubble walls under a slate gabled roof. It faces east onto the farmyard where there were six irregularly spaced doorways. The OS County series 2nd edition (Cardigan. XXIV.6 1905) shows it divided into three unequal units. There is a two unit piggery attached on the north.
The walls of the range have now been stripped to bare stone and windows have been inserted into some of the doorways.
