Description
Caergwrle is dominated by its castle (Nprn 95099), known as ?the very last Welsh-built castle?, begun in 1277 by Dafydd ap Gruffudd.

In the 19th century, Caergwrle was noted for its mineral springs, and a substantial local industry developed around the spa waters.
