Description
NAR SS96NW19

1. Associated with St Donat's West Park.

2. A rectangular turret, its viewing platform reached by a vice, with a small two-storey lodge attached on the north: although views are restricted towards the west, across the western deer park, it would seem reasonable to interpret this monument as a viewing tower, associated with the park, rather than as a para-military watch tower.

See Nprn23087.
Associated with: St Donat's castle (Nprn300312) and Parks/gardens (Nprn301676).

3. Depicted on the Second Edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map of Glamorgan XLIX, sheet 1 (1899). C.H. Nicholas, RCAHMW, 17th August 2006.
