Description
A lake located to the south east of Machynlleth with an earth and stone dam at its north-east corner (NPRN 517285) which was likely constructed in order to raise the water level of the lake in order to provide water to Moel Fadian mine (NPRN 402609). Aerial photography by the Royal Commission taken on 29 April 1999 shows submerged rectangular structures, possibly enclosures, at the far north-east corner of the late, approx. SN829942.
