Description
Uncertain site considered to be a natural feature by Wright (1914), but Hogg in 1960 noted `There are slight traces of dry-built masonry on the summit of a rocky ridge, where a small area has been isolated by two strong rock-cut ditches, perhaps natural clefts improved. Other conflicting reports on the Ordnance Survey card (SN 77 NW 2) suggest a restricted enclosure on the summit of the hill, or the whole being entirely natural. The hill above Ty'n-y-Castell is certainly a striking landmark and is visible from many miles around. Not visited by T Driver.
