Description
Early 19th- century wharf with a railway siding at the foot of an incline up to Trevor Hall Wood Quarry. This wharf and railway ndicate the importance of early 19th-century gravity and horse-worked railways to the development of trade on the canal. Superseded in the late 19th. century by the Plas-Ifan Inclined Railway a few hundred metres further west. Built in the early 19th. century by the entreprenur Exuperius Pickering.
