Description
Llangybi school was built in 1877, it is a single storey, stone cross-gable building with a brick extension. The front gable has a sandstone circular inset and 2 arch-headed windows. The school was closed c.1976 and a new area school, Ysgol-y-Dderi was opended to replace it. The new school, some 400m to the south-west, was built as an amalgamation of several village schools, including Llangybi, Silian, Betws Bledrws, Cellan and Llanfair Clydogau.
