DescriptionLaid out on land originally leased from the Picton Estate, the Penally Rifle Range is of mid-Victorian provenance, was likely to have been in use during the First World War and, indeed, remains very much in use today.
During the Second World War, the range was used as a military training facility for the use of mortars and grenades.
