Archaeological remains comprising square stone/concrete blocks, interspersed with concrete and wooden or metal piles are located at the northern end of Margam sands, 50m northeast of the wreck of the AMAZON (NPRN 274142).
The nature of the structure is not currently understood. It may be related to the AMAZON, or be a separate wreck, or be related to one of the outfalls themselves.
The site was visited by Malvern Archaeological Diving Unit (MADU) in October 2012 (see Images)
