Aberbanc is a small village situated about three miles east of Newcastle Emlyn and four miles west of Llandysul. The community's religious needs are served by the Capel Drindod Welsh Calvinistic Methodists chapel (NPRN 7250). Until recently, children from Aberbanc attended the village primary school, but the school closed in 2016. Pupils now attend Ysgol Bro Teifi on the outskirts of Llandysul (NPRN 422817).
