Site of the 2014 National Eisteddfod of Wales, held 1st ? 9th August 2014. The Eisteddfod cultural festival can trace its origins back to AD 1176, and includes literature, drama, visual arts, science and technology, dance, music and Gorsedd ceremonies, with outdoor performances, concerts, competitions and family activities. Maes B is Wales? biggest Welsh language music concert, with over 20 bands performing during the 2014 eisteddfod. Each year the event attracts around 160,000 visitors.
