Description
Glasinfryn village is situated approximately two miles south east of Bangor. The village had two chapels - Bethmaca Welsh Independent Chapel (NPRN 6689) which has since been converted for residential use, and Soar Wesleyan Methodist chapel (NPRN 7089). The village church is dedicated to St. Elizabeth (NPRN 421423), and there is also a village hall. According to the first edition of the 25inch OS maps (published in 1889), Glasinfryn also had a school, a post office and a woollen factory at the end of the 19th century.
