Description
The village of Garth is situated about five and a half miles west of Builth Wells. It is still served by the Heart of Wales railway line. There is also a chapel in Garth (NPRN 420487) and a village primary school - 'Ysgol Dyffryn Irfon.' At one point there was a public house known as Garth Inn in the village (it appears in OS 6 inch maps from 1889 to 1953), which was popular with drovers, although now it is a private residence.
