Rhyd-y-Clafdy is a small village situated about three miles west of Pwllheli. There is a school on the southern edge of the village, a Welsh Calvinistic Methodist chapel on the western edge (NPRN 6972) and a public house on the eastern edge called ' Tu Hwnt i'r Afon' (or 'Beyond the River' in English).
