Description
The control tower was built in 2015 to replace the existing control tower which had served Caernarfon airport since 1941 (NPRN 421250). According to the the request for planning permission submitted in 2013, the new building 'would have four storeys, with a height of 16.1 metres. The footprint would be around 250 metres squared. The new building was designed not only as a control tower, but also to house fire engines, a departure lounge, reception and offices.
