The village of Bryncir is situated six and a half miles north west of Porthmadog. It has several amenities including Soar Welsh Calvinistic Methodist chapel (NPRN 6820); a workshop; auction house; tractor salesroom; garden centre; cafe and tile shop. Bryncir also had a village public house called the 'Bryncir Arms,' until the building was converted into a dwelling in 2008.
