Description
The very straight and regular boundaries of fields to the west of Pentregalar indicate that they were enclosed as part of a Parliamentary Enclosure Act. The area covered by these fields measures approximately 415 metres by 760 metres, and is orientated north west to south east. It is bordered on the south east by the village of Pentre Galar itself, whilst on the north west the fields border the Crugiau Dwy hills. The field boundaries were photographed by Dr Toby Driver during the Royal Commission's programme of archaeological aerial reconnaissance by Toby Driver on 4th February 2015.
