Description
Figure of eight shaped sheep fold, 13 m long, 12 m across at the widest point. Dry stone walls 1 m wide, 1.5 m high and constructed from massive blocks. The northern edge is an enhanced natural rock face. There is a possible blocked up entrance on the south side. Built within the fold, against the southern wall, is a small triangular pen, 2 m by 2 .5 m in size. Outside the western end is an added enclosure, 4 m by 6 m in size, seen only as a low rudimentary dry stone wall. There is a gutter in the west wall between the main fold and the added enclosure. Methodology: 30 m transect survey. Positional accuracy: less than 10 m. Tolerance of accuracy: +/- 5m. K.Laws, EAS Ltd, 17/07/2007.
