Description
This 'V' shaped fish trap is visible on historic aerial photographic coverage (1966) and probably originally comprised lines of wooden posts with nets attached (the arms of earlier traps consist of low stone walls set with roundwood posts supporting wattle fences, but these were superseded by stake nets at the end of the 19th century). Its visible remains consist of two conjoined arms pointing shoreward, with the apex of the 'V' pointing seaward. The west arm measures some 90m and points northwest. The east arm measures some 60m and points northeast.
